    It Must Die Before 2025

As we draw closer to the return of Jesus Christ, the Spirit of God is accelerating His people into their purposes. For many of us, this means stepping into times and seasons sooner than we believe we’re personally prepared for. It’s an exciting yet sobering reality, and one that requires us to make room for God to move in our lives without restriction.

But here’s what you must understand: in order for this acceleration to happen, there are things in your life that must die before 2025. Dead weight. Immature mindsets. False responsibilities. Ideas, desires, and ambitions that conflict with God’s perfect will for your life. All these things must be buried to make space for what God is about to do.

Yes, every year this kind of “Prophetic Word” is released about the cutting off but THIS YEAR is not like all the other years.

    Prophetic Words and Biblical Truth

As we prepare for this acceleration, it’s important to approach prophetic words with discernment and biblical understanding. Many people receive declarations like, “This is your year!” without seeking God’s will or examining whether these words align with Scripture. While such declarations can be encouraging, they can also lead to misplaced expectations if they are not rooted in God’s timing or truth.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say every year will be your year.

Instead, the Word emphasizes surrender, obedience, and trusting God’s plans over our own. True prophetic words always align with Scripture and lead us closer to God, not further into our own ambitions.

    Lessons from Abraham and Terah

Before God revealed His destiny to Abraham in Genesis 12:1, something significant had to happen—his father, Terah, had to die.

Terah’s name means “delay,” and he was known for idol worship. One must wonder: why did God wait until Terah’s death to reveal Abraham’s calling? It’s because Terah represented a source of delay, a weight that would have hindered Abraham from fully stepping into God’s plan and purpose.

Abraham — coming from a wealthy, well-established family, God told him to leave everything familiar—his father’s house, his land, and his comfort. In exchange, God promised to make his name great and establish him in His name.

Just as it was for Abraham, so it is for you, child of God. It’s time to depart from the “land” that has become a source of delay in your life. This land could be relationships, habits, behaviors, or mindsets. Whatever it is, it cannot go with you into 2025. I know you’ve heard this before but this time is not like other times— IT MUST DIE.

    Living in the Graveyard

For some of you reading this, those things have already died, but you’re still living in the land they once occupied. You’ve built your life on a graveyard, surrounded by the remnants of what God has already removed.

    Ecclesiastes 9:5 reminds us:

“For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.”

This is why you’re experiencing confusion, unfinished assignments God has given you, and unnecessary warfare. Instead of departing from the land of delay, you’ve pitched your tent there due to grief, unbelief, and complacency — trying to make a home among the dead.

At some point just as God spoke to Samuel in 1 Samuel 16:1 to stop mourning over Saul— you have to get up and move on as well. Grief does not and should not last forever. God’s love and His mercy does.

Where Are You Building Your Tent?

Abraham’s life offers us this reminder: we are to build our tents only where the Lord is. Anything outside of His presence and will is a distraction and a delay.

    As 2025 approaches, ask yourself:

    • What dead weights am I still carrying?

    • What habits or mindsets need to be buried?

    • Am I living in a graveyard of past seasons, clinging to what God has already removed?

It’s time to leave the land of delay. Pack up your tent and follow God into the new territory He has prepared for you. Let everything that hinders you die before 2025, so you can move freely in the acceleration God is bringing.

A Prayer for Leaving the Land of Delay

    Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your patience, grace, and perfect timing in my life. I come before You, repentant and acknowledging the areas where I’ve held on to things You’ve called me to release. Forgive me for hardening my heart. Lord, I surrender every relationship, habit, mindset, and ambition that stands in the way of Your perfect will for me.

Give me the courage and boldness to leave the land of delay and follow You into the new season You’ve prepared. Help me to discern where You are calling me to build, and teach me to pitch my tent only in Your presence.

Father, I ask for clarity in this season as I turn toward Holiness. Remove confusion, unnecessary battles, and distractions that have kept me stuck. Strengthen my heart to trust You, even when the path feels uncertain.

I declare that I will walk in Your acceleration. I choose to release all that must die before 2025.

In the name of Jesus’, Amen.
